We were met by the guide immediately after exiting the train, starting the trip of on an excellent foot. The guide, Dino, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, answering all of our questions. The minibus we used as transportation was very comfortable and they were equipped with a cooler and water for all the passengers. The organization of the trip was also perfect. There were stops for food, stops for pictures and of course the stops for the monasteries. Overall the trip was very enjoyable and an opportunity to learn and explore a lot.

We had an absolute blast. After booking, we got an email from the company telling us we would get the railway tickets. They communicated with us quickly and sent us our tickets as soon as they were available. They were waiting for us with signs of our names in Kalabama. We learned alot and they got us back to the train station just in time. Meteora was definitely worth the 4 hour train ride. This was a sight of a lifetime. Make sure you bring a scarf to wrap your shoulders so they aren't exposed.

I found the train ride annoying: 4 hours 20 minutes through a bland landscape. But then alone with a guide to the monasteries. Unfortunately, my English is so bad that I didn't really understand many things very well. The monasteries are very impressive. The museums are worth seeing, although I think that one museum is enough. Things repeat themselves. The location of the monasteries is unique for everyone, I can imagine staying there for some time. The churches are also impressive. For that I would have needed more time to watch.
