Choose either the 90-minute Athens route that begins at Syntagma Square, the 60-minute Piraeus route that starts out at the cruise terminal, or the 120-minute Riviera and beaches route with a starting point at the Acropolis.

There is an interchange bus stop at the Acropolis that connects all of the lines. These tourist-friendly city tours offer the opportunity to admire and stop and visit spectacular sites. From May to October, enjoy complimentary audio-guided walking tours of the surrounding areas of the Acropolis, Plaka, and the National Gardens.

In Athens, a city filled with historical and cultural monuments, you can hop off to explore the Acropolis and Parthenon archaeological sites. Take in the new Acropolis Museum and the Archaeological Museum. Explore picturesque Plaka and Monastiraki, where you’ll discover neoclassical buildings, archaeological findings, and souvenir shops. Historic Piraeus port is one of the most important commercial seaports in the Mediterranean. Nearby, you’ll find a number of private harbors, such as the Mikrolimano and the Zea Marina (Pasalimani). We bought tickets for our first day arriving in Athens hoping for a relaxing ride about town. It was convenient enough to find a place to validate our tickets and board the bus but the conductor on site failed to alert us when the bus arrived at the very busy Syntagma Square so we ended up having to wait for the next bus. She also wasn’t very clear in her instructions where to transfer to the Piraeus Line but the bus driver was very helpful

This was a great way to see Athens, but the traffic can be very busy at times. One accident can cause major delays. The obvious route is around the city, but you can get to the beaches area for a minor cost of this ticket with the city tour. A hint, don’t take the port route as is it only for the cruise ships. The end of the beaches route has lake Vouliagmeni which is very nice and calming away from Athens, entry to the swimming area is 12 euros but the only downside was the beaches route did not start until 11 am. This ticket for 2 days was very good value.

Our guide, Artemis, was extremely knowledgeable, excellent, funny, witty, organised and practical (toilets stops on a regular basis, places to get food or water). Good command of english as well. Artemis brought the ruins to life and made every highlight of Athens extremely enjoyable. In particular, the visit of the museum could not have been done without her, as she brought so many explanations, and details about the frises and the sculptures we saw. A fantastic day, highly recommended
