Enjoy a 3-hour tour at a relaxed pace and get a detailed introduction to the Acropolis including the Erechtheion, the temple of Athena Nike, the Propylaia, and the Parthenon. Look at how the rock of the Acropolis itself serves as a reference point for the modern development of Athens. Learn how this site grew and evolved along with the city of Athens as the most accurate reflection of its splendor, power, and wealth during the golden age of Perikles. Continue to the Acropolis Museum and explore the stunning glass floors to see the excavations, and follow your guide for another hour to see treasures of the ancient Greek civilization and the museum building itself.

See the original pieces from the temples in Acropolis and learn about their historical context from your guide. Hear about the Elgin Marbles in the Parthenon Gallery.

Thenia was absolutely amazing! She met us at our meeting point at the base of the Acropolis and from that moment on she was pack full of history and mythological stories! We leisurely walked along the path in front of the Acropolis and up to the top where she gave us all sorts of info. The way they're restoring the parthenon is very interesting! After working our way through the Acropolis, we walked down to the Archeological Museum where she gave us the quick overalls before leaving us to mosey around! She was only supposed to be with us between 0930-1230 but she didn't leave us until 1430! She was truly wonderful.

Tour was exactly as described, there were 4 of us, all over in our 70’s & 80’s and the guide stopped to let us old folks keep up. She did an excellent job. Information provided gave us a better insight into the history of the Acropolis and recommend the use of a guide if you don’t want to miss anything The Acropolis Museum is a must after visiting the Acropolis. Again our guide made what we saw come to life and gave us a better understanding of what we were observing Highly recommended

A great way to see the Acropolis and the museum! There's not a lot of information up there so having a tour guide is a great to understand a lot of the history, plus the guide probably adds a lot more information. Even more handy when we were at the museum.
