The afternoon before our trip, we were contacted by the company and advised that the flight to Abu Simbel had been cancelled, presumably through no fault of the trip provider. However, it was odd that weather was given as the purported reason, and the weather was absolutely fine. In any event, we were going to cancel the trip, but the company offered to drive us to/from Abu Simbel with our guide (and provide us with a refund of the cost of the flight). After considering the lengthy trip, we still decided to go ahead do the car ride down to Abu Simbel. We appreciated the company offering this alternative option. We were ready for the pickup at the designated 4:30am pickup time, but the driver and guide were about 10 minutes late, which was not great as we were in an unfamiliar area. in any event, it worked out fine. Overall, we had a very nice trip with our guide and he was very helpful. The drive was pleasant, and went by relatively quickly. And Abu Simbel was amazing!

We left the hotel at 4.10 in the morning, at 8 we already arrived in Abu Simbel, there were other tourists in the car, the guides took everything apart and went on individual excursions. I liked everything, except for the mini bus, I am 160cm tall, even I did not have enough legroom, my knees rested on the front seat, my neck was numb. There was no lunch, but there was a stop near the "shop".
