Receive a warm welcome in Imlil with a glass of mint tea before traveling past stunning waterfalls and small Berber settlements. Pause in Tamatert to take in the views of ancient irrigated terraced fields, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees.  Feast on a traditional Moroccan meal in Ait Souka at the home of a Berber family. Relax with scenic valley views from a sun-bathed rooftop terrace.  After some rest, board your vehicle and travel through the scenic Kik Plateau, with spectacular 360-degree views. Gaze in awe at the magnificent High Atlas Mountains as you pass through stone desert, barren light brown plateaus, oases, and rolling hills. Enjoy the serene surroundings of the Agafay Desert where you can take an optional camel or horse ride. Or, simply relax with some Moroccan mint tea for the perfect end to your day, before heading back to Marrakech.

Depart from Marrakech and enjoy a guided day trip through the High Atlas Mountains to learn more about Berber culture and traditions. Admire scenic landscapes, learn about local traditions and industry, and enjoy some local food and drinks. Meet your guide at your accommodation and start the transfer to Imlil. On your way, pass through the town of Tahnaout. Stop at an Argan Oil Cooperative to learn how women of the cooperative turn the Argan nut into many different Argan oil-based products which Morocco is famous for.  Continue on through Asni where, on Saturdays, a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited. Once you arrive in Imlil, enjoy a welcome glass of mint tea and meet your guide before commencing your tour of the local area. Make your way to the largest and highest village in Imlil Valley. Your journey will take you past waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa, and Imoula. Stop off in Tamatert and have the opportunity to take in the views of ancient irrigated terraced fields of barley, corn, and vegetables, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees.  Your guide will point out things of interest and talk to you about the Berber culture and heritage along the way.  Travel down through the village of Ait Souka and afterwards enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch in a Berber family guest house. Once you are rested, begin your return trip down the other side of the valley to Taourirt to board your vehicle. Go through the Moulay Brahim Gorges, before arriving at the main trailhead with streams and paths branching out in all directions. Here, enjoy a camel ride through picturesque landscapes. Finally, make your journey back to Marrakech, with drop-off in the early evening.

Your 2-day adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Marrakech and heads towards the High Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni. Throughout the drive, admire stunning views of the surrounding landscapes as well as a glimpse of local villages along the valley. Arrive at Imlil and meet your trekking crew for the trip, then enjoy a refreshing mint tea to set you up for a day of exploring. With your guides, head out towards Azzaden Valley via the Tizi Mzik pass where you can marvel at panoramic views over the valley as well as several neighboring Atlas peaks. Lunch is served at the top of the pass, so you can admire the views while you eat, then continue down the valley through the Juniper Forest to arrive at Tizi Oussem village. Spend the night at this traditional Berber site, meet the locals and learn about their culture and way of life. Enjoy a delicious and authentic tagine dinner surrounded by the peaceful tranquility of the mountains. After breakfast on day 2, soak up the sunshine that lights up this colorful valley before heading out towards Id Issa village. Spend some time exploring then trek to Tizi Oudid mountain pass walking through Matat village along the way. Arrive at a walnut grove and enjoy a relaxing lunch next to the river. Finally, return to Marrakech around 5pm.

Day 1: Marrakech - Imlil 1740m - Tizi Mzik pass 2479m - Red Valley - Tamsoult Refuge 2550m After breakfast in Marrakech, pick up & drive towards the high Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya & Asni, enjoy the stunning view of the villages along the valley . Arrival to Imlil (65km from Marrakech), meet the guide & multeer and then start the trek & climb Tizi Mzik pass (2479m), spectacular view over Imlil valley & Toubkal Summit, continue to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (100m of hight) through juniper forest, Overnight at the Refuge, 5hrs walking. ( Imlil to Tamsoult - 11kms, up 800m and down 400m, 5-6 hours). Day 2: Tamsoult Refuge 2550m - Aguelzim Pass (3650) - Toubkal Refuge 3207m. Today is an intense day, in which we significantly increase the average altitude of the trek. Ahead of us we have the demanding ascent to the Aguelzim pass at 3450 m. The ascent is long but progressive. Once on the pass we will be able to admire the summit of Toubkal. We then descend towards the Toubkal base camp, at 3200 m. Walking time: 6h30. ( Tamsoult to Toubkal Refuge - 10 kms, up 1200m, down 300m, 6 hours ) Day 3: Toubkal Refuge 3207m - Toubkal summit 4167m - Imlil 1740m - Marrakech Up early for the climb up Toubkal (4,167 m) from where, clouds allowing, you will have wonderful views over the Atlas range and the Sahara desert. T hen a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Imlil. This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 900m up then almost 2,500 m back down to Imlil. You will normally be dropped off at around 5.00 pm in Marrakech. ( Toubkal Refuge to summit - 4 kms, up and down 980m, 5 hours Toubkal Refuge - 4 hours, down 1400m, 5 hours).

Embark on a popular and moderate day hike just outside of Marrakesh, ascending and descending almost 900m. Take in panoramic views of the Imlil and Imnane Valleys from several points along the route. After your early morning pickup from your hotel in the city, sit back and relax on the 64-kilometer ride towards the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive at the village of Imlil (1,740m), the starting point of your hike. Head up the Tamatert Valley to the Tizi n'Tamatert pass (2,280m) via the Berber villages of Ait Souka and Tamatert. From the pass, head into the Moroccan pine forest and pick up a trail that leads to the summit of the mighty Adrar Talamrout (2,600m). At the summit of Adrar Talamrout, take your time to marvel at the view of the Imenane Valley and the Berber villages of Amskere and Ikkiss sprawling beneath you, before beginning your descent back to Imlil. Enjoy a lunch break on your way down, and a relaxed drop off back in Marrakesh.

Along the way, visit some local Berber women at a local co-operative extracting the much sought-after Argan oil and taste a typical Moroccan breakfast. Continue to the second valley, Oukaimden, and travel a secluded mountain road up to 1,800 meters above sea level. Pass through traditional Berber villages built from adobe and stones, and see the daily life of local people. When you arrive at Sidi Fares, the third valley, go for a stunning guided hiking tour with a professional, flexible and helpful local guide through a Beautiful, most scenic valley surrounded by Berber villages and spectacular vistas for about 60-90 min, afterwards enjoy a delicious full home-cooked lunch of soup, salad, Berber tajine, couscous, dessert, mint tea, and mineral water at a local Berber family house with breathtaking scenery. With bellies full, head to the fourth valley, Asni, where you can admire the hills of fruit trees and the snowy summits of the High Atlas Mountains. Finally, relax on the drive back to the city via the fifth valley of Tahanaout, arriving back in Marrakech, with drop-off at your accommodation.

After lunch, explore the final valley, Takerkoust, which features a panorama of lush valleys unfurling below.
