Depart from Arusha at 7.30 AM and drive to Moshi region for breakfast (at your own cost). Proceed to Kilimanjaro National Park which is home to the highest peak of Africa. Mount Kilimanjaro is the top roof of Africa, reaching 5895 meters above sea level. It is a world heritage site and its outstanding features reach into 3 major volcanic centers: Shira in the West, Mawenzi in the East, and Kibo in the center (the snow-capped peak).  Check in at the gate and embark on your guided hike through the forest. Experience the landscape, unique native vegetation, and local wildlife including monkeys and different species of birds. In addition to this, the forest contains elephant, leopard, buffalo, bushbuck, the endangered Abbott’s dicker, some small antelope, primates, rodents and much more. Depending on your fitness level, arrive at Mandara Hut for a picnic lunch after 3-4 hours of walking. After taking lunch, continue on to the Maundi Crater to witness incredible panoramas. Take a day trip to mighty Mount Kilimanjaro on a guided journey to one of Tanzania’s most majestic sights. Follow your experienced guide up to Mandara Hut and enjoy the views from 2,700 meters above sea level. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to the national park to meet your guide. At Marangu Gate your guide will give you a brief introduction before you enter the park. You’ll spend the rest of the morning trekking through the rainforest, giving ample opportunity to see monkeys and exotic birds. After 3 or 4 hours of trekking you’ll reach Mandara Hut for a well-earned rest and lunch. On day 1, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha town and driven to Tarangire National Park for a mid-morning game drive. Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle, you’ll be able to admire the views of seasonal swamps, grassy savannas and the Tarangire River.  Look out for many animals including zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants and giraffes. You may catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards relaxing in the trees. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch. Enjoy further game viewing in the afternoon before driving to the Karatu area, where you will check into the Country Lodge hotel and enjoy dinner.  On day 2, enjoy breakfast at the lodge and depart with a packed lunch to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater is inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. It contains a river, several swamps, a lake, a forest and open plains. There are said to be over 30,000 animals living in the area that is naturally enclosed by the slopes of an old volcano. In the evening, enjoy dinner back at your hotel.  After breakfast on day 3, depart for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, home to a range of wildlife including baboons, blue monkeys, over 350 species of birds and tree-­climbing lions. Start the trip with hotel or international airport pick up in a 4x4 Land Cruiser. After a brief introduction, set off for Lake Manyara National Park, known for its incredible flamingos that inhabit the lakeside during the wet season.  Begin your tour of the park and marvel at the 400 species of birds which inhabit the park, many of which remain throughout the year. Because of this Lake Manyara National Park is an excellent spot for bird watching. Visitors to the park can expect to see upwards of 100 different species of bird on any day. Be picked up in Arusha at 7.30 AM and driven to the Moshi region, where you will enjoy breakfast, before proceeding to Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro, you’ll check-in at the gate and begin your walk through the Mount Kilimanjaro forest. Mount Meru, a dormant volcano that measures 4566 meters (14,979 feet) tall, is the perfect climb for those wanting a taste of high altitude trekking without going too high. Meru is centred in Arusha National Park, with fertile slopes that rise above the surrounding savannah and are home to a variety of wildlife, including nearly 400 species of birds, buffalos, leopards, giraffes and different species of monkeys. After a check of permits at the Park Headquarters, your tour starts with a drive to the Momella Park Gate with an armed Park Ranger to protect against wild animal threats. Follow the trail through montane forest, past waterfalls and oddly formed trees until you reach Mirakamba Hut. On day 2, feel the air cool and thin as you ascend over 1000 meters to Saddle Hut. In the afternoon, embark on an acclimatization hike up to little Meru, and enjoy the picturesque views of Kilimanjaro over 80 kilometers away. Day 3 starts at 2 a.m., following a path through scrubland to Rhino Point. Traverse the demanding narrow crater ridge until you reach the summit. From Socialist Peak, watch the sunrise over Kilimanjaro and explore Meru's crater and ash cone. Your descent retraces your steps back down to Momella Gate, where you will be transferred to your hotel for a well-earned shower and celebration.
