    6. Hiking to Highest Limestone Cliff in Europe

This hiking experience involves a relatively long route (12.7 km), with a medium-high difficulty level. This tour is a truly wild adventure with an average duration of 7 hours. After the transfer from your accommodation, the hike begins in the remote village of Pedreiras, located at the base of Mount Arrábida. The landscape is full of magnificent bushes and oak trees that surround you as you walk. You will head towards the cliff slope via zig-zagging paths through the middle of dense vegetation. When you reach the top of the Mountain, the sea will suddenly appear. This is the highest cliff in continental Europe and is an excellent place to rest and admire the surrounding landscape.

I highly recommend taking this tour if you enjoy hiking and the outdoors! I received hotel pick-up and drop-off from Lisbon to the hiking trail. The trail itself was absolutely beautiful and the views were incredible! Andre was a great guide, very knowledgeable and fun to hike with. It was the perfect day trip and my favorite day from my entire vacation!

Our group of 4 had the most fun on our wine tour with João! He is incredibly hospitable and made the experience unpretentious and very accessible to those with deep wine backgrounds and those without (like me!). It felt less like a “tour” and more like hanging out with a good friend, despite the age and background difference (we are four black/brown women in our mid and late twenties), which I think is a testament to his welcoming and upbeat demeanor. If you’re visiting Lisbon, please take some time to explore Setubal and taste some fantastic wines!
