Starting from Athens we drive by bus westwards along the scenic coast, until we reach the Corinth Canal with its breathtaking views (short stop). Shortly thereafter we reach the ancient town of Corinth (visit) where St. Paul lived and preached for two years. Back in the ancient times, Corinth was amongst the richest cities and this is quite evident by its remains, including the huge Agora (market place) and Apollo’s Temple from the 6th century B.C. We will also do a brief stop at the site of the ancient port of Kechreai where St. Paul disembarked. Finally, return to Athens in time for lunch.

Venture south of Athens to discover highlights of the Peloponnese. Cross the Corinth Canal to leave mainland Greece and explore Ancient Corinth - antiquity’s most powerful commercial crossroads. Corinth was the wealthiest city in all the ancient world, and a leader amongst the powerful Greek city-states. It was built at the foothills of the rocky hill of Acrocorinth, discernible from afar and a striking lookout against potential enemies coming by land or sea. Following that, visit the Archaeological Museum of Corinth where you can wander around its famous exhibits. At the conclusion of your experience, your tour guide returns you back to your accommodation in Athens.

Your first stop is at the Corinth canal for 15 minutes where you can take photos and have a refreshing drink. The next stop is at Akrokorinthos for 1 hour before you visit Ancient Corinth and the Archaeological Museum of Corinth for about 3 hours. Then, stop at Heraion (Sanctuary of Hera) in Perachora for about 1 hour and finally, visit the Blue Lake (Vouliagmeni Lake) for 30 minutes.
