In the morning, meeting your guide in the lobby of your hotel and start the adventurous camping tour. Head to the Western part of Gegharkunik Region to start the hiking mission to the highest point of The Geghama Range. First, discover the crater Lake Akna on the foot of the extinct volcano Azhdahak. After breakfast, we go to azati gorge, Kotayk Marz. We will start the route from the geghard monastery, which is considered an immovable monument of RA history and culture and part of the Unesco world heritage. On the way, we will visit a beautiful cave, which is located in a big rock. Looking at it, we will go down to a canyon where there are many caves. Enjoying the beauty of the gorge, we will continue the route to the symphony of stones and finish at the pagan temple of Garni (entry upon request). On the way, we will also have a stop at the Charents Arch, from where a beautiful view of Mount Ararat opens. We are going to Yerevan by car from Garni.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning in order to drive you comfortably to your hiking site, located about 2.5 hours from Yerevan in the Tavush region. The small village of Kirants itself is located near the border with Azerbaijan. The Kirants Forest however is situated inland, far from the steppe which already marks the border. Your hike will begin in the hamlet of Acharkut, located at the edge of the forest. You will move slowly along a fairly straight footpath which has very little altitude difference, and later you will stop in a heavenly spot to rest at the hike's halfway point. You will then continue trekking before reaching the highest point on your tour, the Monastery of Kirants. This monastery is perched on a hillside outcrop, and dates back to the 8th century. It was founded by Armenians, who adopted Chalcedonism. The monastery is composed of small bricks, and its architecture is sometimes reminiscent of classic Armenian character, yet sometimes represents different styles due to the materials used in its construction. After a break in the refreshing silence of this monastery, you will descend back down the hill. Your tour vehicle will then be waiting for you at your starting point to take you comfortably back to Yerevan.
