Leave Cartagena and travel to Baru Village and the Rosario Islands, and enjoy boating through the beautiful mangrove forests while trying to spot local wildlife. Be picked up from your accommodation and travel by land to Baru Village, about an hour and fifteen minutes outside of the historic center of Cartagena. The adventure begins at 6:45 am from the meeting point at the clock tower, where the guide will deliver the bike and a helmet to go with you to Bocagrande, where you will take the boat to go to the island of tierrabomba. On the island you will pass through different landscapes, mountains and rocky roads until you reach the fort of San Fernando de Bocachica, a place full of history as several battles were forged to protect the city from pirate attacks, you will see models of the boats, cannons and summary of the military strategy that was used to defeat the enemy. In most of the tour you can take spectacular pictures. Learn about the culture and history of the natives of the island accompanied by a bilingual guide while you immerse yourself in nature and local culture. Afterwards you will descend to punta arena for approximately 40 minutes and arrive where you will enjoy a delicious typical lunch and enjoy a sea bath in calm waters.
