Full description
You will be picked up from your hotel in Antigua Guatemala to begin your walking tour of the city.  You will start visiting the church of ultraboroque style, La Merced, temple which has two bell towers and a sculpture of San Pedro Nolasco on its facade, who is the founder of the Mercedarian Order. Continuing walking at the Arch of Santa Catalina, built to connect the nuns between cloisters to avoid being seen due to the votes that the religious who belonged to that Order took. After the earthquakes of 1773, many arrangements were made to the arch, included a Lamy Amp Lacroix watch of French origin. Central Park is located at the heart of the city. The park is surrounded by the Palace of the Generals Captain, the City Hall, the church of San José, the Archbishop's Palace and the Portal of Commerce. Visitors will see the beautiful mermaid fountain. The fountain was built in memory of a popular legend, which tells the story of a king whose daughters did not want to nurse their children. Learn about this famous story as you immerse yourself in the legendary colonial city. Also appreciate La Unión tank, one of the most representative laundries in this city, due to only the big houses had a private place where they could wash. For this reason, most of the inhabitants - housewives - went to public laundries. At the end of the walking tour, you will be transferred to the Santa Teresita hot springs. Enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by a relaxing 25-minute massage. During the afternoon, relax and enjoy the thermal waters, steam rooms and swimming pool at the hot springs.
