Construction was commissioned by the prolific temple builder Jayavarman VII in honor of his father and a visit to this smaller site makes for an interesting contrast with the more imposing Angkor Wat. Preah Khan is currently being restored by the World Monument Fund and in places is in remarkably good condition. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to Siem Reap after a memorable day of exploration. Day 2 – Temples of Angkor with Sunrise   Spend your day temple-hopping with your local guide to make the most of your visit to the world-famous Angkor complex, a site full of temples built between the 19th and 13th centuries. Begin with pre-dawn departure (between 4:15 and 4:40 AM) from your hotel to catch the sunrise outside of Angkor Wat. Then, explore the interior of the great temple, spending a thorough 2 hours discovering its corridors, central chambers, and upper terraces. Day 2: Angkor Wat at sunrise, Ta Nei & Ta Prohm Temple, Angkor Thom Bayon  Begin with a pre-dawn departure for sunrise outside of Angkor Wat. Enter the great temple in darkness (please bring a torch) from the little-visited eastern side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world. End your tour at Angkor with breakfast outside the temple. Continue by moving on to the jungle-enveloped Ta Prohm – one of the most atmospheric of all temples in Angkor. Once home to 2,740 monks, Ta Prohm today looks much as it did in the early 1850s, when French explorer Henri Mouhot ‘rediscovered’ this crumbling site. Move to drive to Ta Nei, a late 12th Century stone temple located in Angkor. Afterward, we head to one of Cambodia's jewels, the impressive Angkor Thom, which was the fortified "Great Royal City" built in the 12th century by King Jayavarman VII. At the South Gate, we can see the imposing statue of Avalokiteshvara, which appears in the Tomb Raider movie. Next visit is Bayon temple, in Buddhist style and adorned with hundreds of faces made of stone, and also explore the Terrace of Elephants, former Royal Palace, Phimeanakas, Terrace of Leper King, and Baphoun temple, It is considered the largest Hindu temple in Angkor Thom city. Then, we drive to Ta Prohm temple, which has been left in its original state and is partly overgrown with trees and huge roots. It was also used as a backdrop for the film Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant cooked by local chief and then visit the most authentic village"Phum Preah Dak" where you can learn how the local people make palm cake and palm sugar. In the afternoon, start to visit to the fascinating Angkor Wat, the largest sacred building on the planet and an icon of the Khmer civilization. It was built by King Suyavarman and is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. It contains hundreds of decorations that cover the walls and the longest bas-relief in the world. It is surrounded by a giant moat, and its five towers are part of the Cambodian flag, and from the top you can see the impressive and dense jungle. Day 2: Leave at 8:00 am from your hotel after breakfast, Spend the morning exploring Siem Reap's countryside with your guide and head outside the city center to experience local rural life and culture. Day 3: Depart at 8:00 am and head to Phnom Kulen National Park for approximately 1 hour. This journey takes you through rural Cambodian villages, where you may observe locals going about their everyday lives and admire beautiful landscapes such as rice paddies. Afterward, continue to the hilltop of mountain, and our knowledgeable guide will take you to the most spectacular tourist attractions in the national park, including the largest and most beautiful waterfalls, the reclining Buddha sculpture, and the River of Thousand Linga, which was constructed in 802 AD. In the afternoon, we will have lunch at the local restaurant before heading to Beng Melea, the mysterious 12th-century temple in the middle of the jungle. This temple is heavily overgrown with vegetation, trees, lianas, and mosses. This temple is surrounded by a rainforest due to it being abundant for over 300 years. When it is not fully restored, many local and international tourists fall in love with the area. Take a boat from the ferry to explore the famous floating village of Kampong Phluk. There, you can see firsthand what everyday life is like for the many families who make their living primarily from fishing. Most families live on the lake shore in brightly colored houses on long poles, so the high water levels are not a problem during the rainy season.

Tour require to start at 4:45am. At that time guide will come to pick you up from your hotel lobby then we head to Angkor Wat for sunrise. After sunrise we can take you back to your hotel for breakfast (if your hotel include breakfast) or you eat breakfast at restaurant nearby Angkor Wat. After breakfast break we return to continue visit Angkor Wat. After Angkor Wat we continue to next temples on Small Circle such as Ta Promh which this temple with a lot of gigantic tree roots took over and the Hollywood made the movie "Tomb Raider". After busy couple hours in the morning around 12:30pm we’ll have lunch break at a local restaurant nearby. After lunch around 1:30pm or 2:00pm we’ll Pre Rup Temple which was constructed in late 10th century dedicated to Hindu gods. This reflects the common belief among Cambodians that funerals were conducted at the temple. Then we continue to see temples on Small Circle such as Ta Promh which this temple with a lot of gigantic tree roots took over and the Hollywood made the movie "Tomb Raider". Continue to Ta Nei and the last ones we go to visit the city of Angkor Thom that the area cover Bayon temple. It’s the highlight temple in the centre of Angkor Thom city with 49 towers in which every tower has 4 faces, so that means there are 196 faces of Budhhistsatva Avalokestesvara. Then we continue walking to the next nearby Hindu Baphoun temple built before Angkor Wat in the 11th Century. Behind this temple you can see big Reclining Buddha behind it was built later in 16th Century. Continue walking to see Royal Enclosure Wall, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace and Palilay. The last one of the day we go to climb up the hill of Phnom Bakheng to see sunset Note: Due to the limited number of tourists at the peak on Phnom Bakheng then we will require or take you to climb up Phnom Bakheng a bit earlier at least 1:30-2:00 hours before sunset. Our tour will be concluded when we return you to your hotel between 6:00pm-7:00pm.
