Full description
Climb aboard an air-conditioned coach and travel through a typical Dutch landscape for 1.5 hours en route to the picturesque town of Giethoorn. Experience how the Dutch people live with, and on, the water upon arrival, and set off to explore on foot and by boat. Enjoy the peace and quiet of a town where cars are forbidden and little has changed over the centuries. Admire the many types of boats in the town, from gondolas to punters and flat-bottom vessels used as transportation on the canals. Cruise past the skillfully restored farmhouses on a 1-hour boat trip, and get some free time for lunch and to explore on your own. Get tips from your guide on what to see and where to eat. The tour will continue to the Enclosing Dike (Afsluitdijk), the 32 kilometer dike connecting the provinces of North Holland and Friesland. The Netherlands is famed the world over for the way it deals with water management. The Afsluitdijk, built to tame what was formerly the Zuiderzee (now the Ijsselmeer lake) is a prime example of Dutch water prowess.

Great tour. Very organized and the guide was excellent. A visit to Afsluitdijk is very interesting to know part of the history of the Netherlands. Giethoorn is fantastic, it looks like a village from a fairy tale. We had a lot of free time to have lunch, walk around and take lots of pictures.

The tour is good to see Giethoorn lifestyle

The tour take 2-3 hrs on the bus without any drink or some snacks and there is no toilet on the bus. But overall is good to see Giethoorn villages & guide is good to explain. The one hour Amsterdam canal tour also good to do in daytime can see more than nighttime. (I took around 18.30pm then some building couldn’t see)

Well

The destination is wonderful, definitely that place should be known. The transport was also good, however, the guide did not speak Spanish well, there were words that were not understood, he spoke 10 minutes in English and 2 in Spanish when he explained something. There were ideas that he did not specify. Very bad. They should put Spanish-speaking guides.
