What people are saying about Amman
A great tour of the historical sites of northern Jordan. My driver was Mohammed. He was a good driver, spoke good English and was fun to talk with. The car was in good condition. I would recommend this tour because Mohammed is one of the few drivers who takes tourists all the way up to Umm Qais which is close to the border with Israel/Palestine. The site looks onto the Golan Heights and on a clear day you can see the Sea of Galilee. The roman ruins there are well worth the visit and extra drive. The second site is Ajloun castle which is compact and in a fairly good state of repair which means that you get a decent sense of what the atmosphere was like there in the past. Finally Jerash is a huge and impressive roman site. It takes at least 2hrs to walk the well preserved ruins. Its worth adding that the drive between the places on the itinerary was enjoyable in itself because the hills and valleys offer some spectacular views on the way. A great trip which I recommend!
We were picked up at the hotel by Ahmed Hussin, a very good driver and pleasant person, on the way to Petra, he showed us special places. We stayed at the hotel edom in wadi Musa, which we found luxurious. On the 2nd day, on Ahmed's advice, we were in Petra shortly after 6 o'clock, which we found nice, although we are not early risers: the day was still fresh, there was nice light and not many visitors. In the afternoon we were in Wadi Rum - it was fantastic there: the desert with the red sand and the rocks, the sunset, the hospitality in the camp, the starry sky, the tents, the food. The jeep tour on the 3rd day was special. Then it went back direction and still the impression of the Dead Sea. In the evening we were back in our hotel. We felt safe the whole time and it was fun with Ahmed.
Firstly Mr Q, what an exceptional person. So very helpful and genuinely nice guy. He provided a great value of information throughout the adventure, and provided alot humour for the road trip. The experience wouldnt have been the same without him and we're very grateful he shared his beautiful country with us. The adventure itself was fantastic. Great value for money and made the most the time we had. The camping experience at amazing. The food was better than we could of hoped for. Thanks guys!
Nidal picked me up at my hotel on time in Amman. He was knowledgeable, personable, safe, intelligent, and fairly fluent in English. The time flew by. He transferred me to a local Petra guide who was able to explain the history and relevance of what I was seeing in a clear and understandable way. He even helped me cope with the relentless vendors and animal handlers who are soliciting their services. It was a great day!
Jaf’ar was an awesome guide, he told us many stories about Jordan and regarding the trips he did during his career. I recommend him and his company.
