Bali: Sambangan Waterfalls Trekking, Sliding, & Jumping Trip

1. Bali: Sambangan Waterfalls Trekking, Sliding, & Jumping Trip

Begin the day pickup from your accommodation and journey to the Sambangan village in northern Bali, home to incredible scenery and amazing waterfalls. Walk through rice fields surrounded by hills and see the local farmer going about their day. The village is home to many tropical plantations such as clove, banana, jackfruit, durian, cocoa, lemongrass, and coconut trees. Enjoy the fresh air during a walk between the trees and stop at a local house to take a rest and try cocoa, young coconut fruit, and listen to a Balinese instrument. Next, visit the Blue Lagoon and Secret Garden surrounded by canyons. Try swimming in the natural pools before arriving at the amazing Aling-Aling Waterfall. Depending on your desires and abilities, jump from 5 meters into the pools, challenge yourself by sliding down 12 meters at a natural rock slide at Kroya Waterfall, or test your adrenaline while jumping 10 meters at the Twin Waterfalls. Lastly, try jumping 15 meters at the Pucuk Waterfall before returning to basecamp to enjoy a simple lunch before being dropped off at your starting point of the tour.

Secret Canyoning Adventure

2. Secret Canyoning Adventure

Your experience starts as you are collected from your accommodation. From there, drive for 2.5 hours to North Bali. Once having arrived, receive a welcome coffee or tea accompanied by Balinese cookies at the local partner's base camp. You then drive up the mountain whilst enjoying views over the rice terrace and Northern Singaraja to reach your activity starting point. Once parked, trek for about 20 minutes to warm up for your activity. From there you receive 30 minutes of basic training, which allows you to become more independent in canyoning. Your canyoning experience then begins with a 21-meter rappel, which consists of 6 jumps, 2 slides, and 12 rappels downwards. Challenge yourself as you rappel down waterfalls whilst exploring and feeling free. Slide and jump between volcanic rock formations, and swim in natural clear water. At the conclusion of your day out in nature, travel for 10 minutes back to the car before proceeding back to base camp for lunch. From there, begin your 2.5 hour trip back to South Bali where your experience concludes.

Bali: Gitgit and Alingaling Waterfalls Small Group Tour

3. Bali: Gitgit and Alingaling Waterfalls Small Group Tour

If you have partied in Kuta and eaten acai bowls in Ubud, chances are you will want to ditch the tourist trail in pursuit of greener pastures. It doesn’t get much greener than Bali’s majestic waterfalls which slice through the luscious jungle and cliff faces of the island. After a journey in an air-conditioned minivan, you will arrive at Aling-Aling Waterfall in the north of the island. You will love not just the beauty of this 35-meter fall but the adrenaline of sliding down it into turquoise waters. The natural features of Bali do not peak there. After a tasty lunch, travel on to Gitgit Waterfall, often described as the most beautiful on the island. The final treat of the day will be a visit to Pura Taman Ayun Temple, where you will get a taste for Indonesia’s world-famous temple style. This serene spot is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and little wonder, it’s characterized by lotus blossoms and intricate carvings surrounded by a peaceful moat.

What a great excursion this was! Super cool from start to finish! Congratulations to the organizers and especially the guides. The guides help you well and are also very nice. They joke a lot, laugh a lot, take a lot of pictures. They go out of their way to put you at ease. In the beginning we got a nice breakfast incl. tea/coffee with a beautiful view of their garden (rice fields, natural swimming pool, the village, the sea and the flora and fauna). You will then be provided with custom equipment, shoes, canyoning suit and helmet. This is followed by a small training; how everything works. Then you set out for the start of the trail. The course includes abseiling (from a waterfall), jumping (highest jump is 7m high), ziplining, sliding and climbing over rocks and then ending up in the natural water. The view is beautiful on every part of the trail with beautiful waterfalls. Afterwards you will get a delicious lunch. It was the highlight of our vacation.

This tour is a must do if you're in Ubud. The waterfalls around Ubud are quite busy but these ones are much less visited especially Gitgit. The drive to these waterfalls presents some amazing views as you travel through the mountains but be prepared for a 1.5-2hr drive there. When you go to Alingaling waterfall you can pay an extra 125000 to go swimming and do some cliff jumping at the smaller waterfall Kroya which is right beside Alingaling. I highly suggest doing this if you aren't afraid of the heights. Overall this was the best tour I've done so far in Bali and I highly recommend. Agung was my guide and he was great! Explained everything in great detail and was very easy to get along with!

A day trip to the waterfalls is a must if you are visiting Bali and this trip was super good! Putu, our travel guide was very friendly and provided customer service that exceeded customer expectations. The day was perfect, thank you! We will always remember this! Ps. Life's hit list can now tick off the information: a calculated waterfall as a slide! Huh and wow...

The tour to the waterfalls is really great. and was definitely worth it. We first visited a water temple with our guide Komang, so that we were one of the first visitors and could take great photos. Komang also had great ideas for photos at the waterfalls and took a lot of time to explain everything to us. We would definitely repeat the tour and would recommend it.

This was the best day in Bali so far. The waterfalls and especially the jumping and sliding was really the highlight. I've enjoyed it
