Full description
Learn to prepare typical Sardinian dishes during this home-cooking class. Make your way to a beautiful farmhouse in the countryside outside Alghero, where you’ll be welcomed by your friendly hosts. Immerse yourself in regional food culture as you’re introduced to gourmet products and locally-grown ingredients.  Roll up your sleeves and start cooking, learning to make dishes like bruschetta and vegetable fritters. After the first course of gnocchi with lamb ragu, prepare a plate of scallops and roasted potatoes. Finally, whip up something to satisfy your sweet tooth with a soft cheese-based dessert flavored with a hint of orange.  At the end of the class, gather around the table to feast on the fruits of your labor. Wash every bite down with fine Sardinian wines. Bring your meal and the experience to a close with a tasting of homemade mirto, a liqueur flavored with myrtle, and tangy limoncello.

Irene was a lovely instructor! It was a warm experience getting to learn about Sardinian cooking in such an authentic way. I booked this as a birthday surprise for my husband, and he absolutely loved it. Irene even had a small present for him for his birthday. She also gave us some other helpful food recommendations for the rest of our visit in Sardinia. Cannot recommend this experience more!

It was an awesome day. Irene is a wonderful woman. I would love to meet her again. She thought us how to make a traditional Sardinian pasta and then we ate a wonderful, delicious meal. Irene was not only a great teacher, but also wonderful home keeper, funny and very warmhearted woman. We also have met many interesting and lovely people all over the world. C’est avec beaucoup d’enthousiasme qu’Irène nous a accueilli chez elle et à fait visiter à ma fille ses écuries. Nous avons appris à confectionner et cuisiner 5 types de pâtes et une spécialité sarde en dessert. Nous avons dîner dans le jardin au bord de la piscine et avons pu profiter du cadre très agréable. Tout était parfait, et les hôtes forts sympathiques. Très jolie expérience
