  • Take a refreshing dip in the water and relax on the beach
  • Learn about the history of the area from your expert guide
Full description
Your tour will begin with an introduction to the basics of kayaking from your expert guide. Then you’re adventure begins: you’ll take to the water by kayak and make your way towards the Benagil Caves. The best way to enter the caves is by kayak just after sunrise, since during the day the area becomes overcrowded with tourists and boats. This special early bird tour is therefore the perfect way to experience the natural beauty of this unique location. At this early hour you’ll have ample time and opportunity to capture stunning pictures and relax on the beach. You’ll explore the Benagil Cave for 30 minutes, enjoying a refreshing dip and walk. If possible you will also discover two more breathtaking smaller caves.

If you have any experience doing standup paddleboard I think this would be a preferable way to see the caves early in the morning without a large group. Well going at sunrise is definitely ideal because I cannot imagine how large the crowds are in the afternoon it would be even more magical if you made it out there before the group kayak. It is a very short paddle and the boards can be rented right at the entrance

Very friendly welcome, perfectly organized and timing neither too slow nor too fast! Guide (Adam) super nice, good material. We really enjoyed the excursion even though swimmers can easily access the cave because it is really not far from the beach. The plus is that we will see some other spots! The 7am visit is a must, when we came back around 9am it was already crowded!

We would highly recommend to enjoy the beautiful Algars and caves of the area with these tourguides! Go for a kayak to maintain the environment and find out about all the history, animals, and beauty. Hugo was our leading guide, such a friendly man who talks passionately about the area. Marcel and Pedro joined as guides to bring us home safely. There were really really big waves due to the wind from Africa, a situation they could not change, but they made the best out of it! Normally the water here is flat and calm, but this weather made the tour an adventure! The guides are friendly and funny, getting around as friends but really working as a team. Mike handled the paperwork and equipment for us, another passionate and energetic guy!! Thank you so much for this tour, we will def come back another time to enjoy the caves with a calmer sea.
