Full description

Get off the beaten track but straight into the heart of the Algarve on this Jeep safari adventure. Enjoy the fun and excitement of going up hills and down dales, crossing streams, and traversing meadows. Taste a local drink and savor a traditional lunch. After pickup, travel in a convoy of Jeeps through the spectacular scenery of an area almost untouched by time. Wind along earthen tracks to some of the most fascinating places in the Algarve. In tiny white-washed villages where time seems to stand still, you can see some of the old customs still in practice. Visit a small local distillery where the brave can taste “medronho” – a very potent local drink – and where you can see honey being produced in the old way.

Afterward, enjoy lunch served in a typical restaurant before being dropped off at your original starting point.

This was a really good tour Nice way to see the mountains , learn about the rural agriculture and see the orchards Our tour guides made multiple stops showing us the different trees and explaining the history of the regions Unfortunately because of the heatwave in Europe we had to stick to more main roads as off roading was forbidden but I would go back and do it again truely off-road

Really great guide. George was amazing. He as so passionate about the Algarve and all it has to offer. Really great guide. Didn’t feel rushed at any of the stops. He took loads of photographs and was more than willing to answer any questions we had. He really made this tour. The car was really good, not sure what year but an old Land River Discovery with the bench seating in the back. We had the roof off for the most part of the trip. The trio itself is really fun and informative. You see parts of the Algarve you wouldn’t see if you where to drive yourself. There’s so much fruit and vegetables grown around the Algarve and that was great to see. The distillery is really cute (even though I didn’t like the spirits). The stop at the swimming area is nice. We had 30 mins for this, it was plenty of time for a quick dip and an ice cream. The 3 course meal and drinks (which is included in the price) was really good. We had 1 vegetarian in our party and this was catered for no problem.

Really one of the most fun I've had on my holiday. Our driver, George, was unbelievably funny and extremely educational. Now I know more about Algarve's flora than I know about my own countries '. Amazing views, great activities and overall a great day spent out. Thank you! We will be back!
