What people are saying about Alajuela Province

I was initially quite scared about this trip, but Arenal Rafting reassured me I would be safe and I am so glad we took part. Our guide Mauricio was amazing, he made it such fun but also I felt very safe. The rafting was amazing, the whole day so well planned. We spotted wildlife on the river, enjoyed some amazing fruit and finished the day off with a delicious lunch. The best trip of our stay in Costa Rica

This was such a good way to kick off my travels in Costa Rica! I felt super comfortable doing this as a solo female traveller, and I met some really lovely people over the course of the day. The tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the overall day wa as great balance between exploring at an easy pace and learning lots! Definitely worth the price, I really recommend!

We had a wonderful time learning and cooking Costa Rican food. Our chef was great at answering any question our group had about certain parts of the dish and the impact it has on Costa Rican culture. The food was delicious and overall was a fun and relaxing activity, especially since the majority of our other activities were hiking related.

A great adventure for young and older :) we did it with our kids (14 and 12) and had so much fun. Also got to see some cool wildlife further down the river. The company was really well organised too with great guides and safety as well as fun a key focus. Would highly recommend this company and trip.

The chocolate tour was such a great experience to learn about the process of chocolate making and also how it is grown. The guide was very knowledgable on the history and production of chocolate and showed us every step of the process.
