We took the Delhi to Agra one-day trip on March 2nd 2020. The excellent (!) driver Jitender picked us up at our hotel and took us to Agra in a neat and comfortable car. On the way he stopped several times to let us have a quick glance at some landmarks in Delhi - we really enjoyed that! The ride to Agra took about 3 hours in total and we added a quick stop for breakfast and a coffee somewhere along the way. Once we reached Agra we met our guide Arif, who took us to the Taj Mahl, the Agra Fort and a craftsmen demonstration of Indian marble and inlay art. Arif was very energetic and we enjoyed our time with him very much. He took a lot of pictures, knew a lot of good spots to take pics and was very knowledgeable about the sights as well. We had lunch at a pretty fancy place for Indian standards and it was also really delicious! At the craftsman's stop we were not pressured to buy anything, but we just had a look around and listened to the demonstration.

Transfer: Driver was quiet, which was a good thing for us. We made three stops between Delhi and Agra to get a bite to eat and use restrooms. Altogether the trip took about 4 hours one way. Guide: Very knowledgeable guy. “Bobby” knows a lot about the Taj and the Fort and explained it’s history in an interesting and detailed way. We learned a lot and it was quite entertaining. He basically wrapped the knowledge in little interesting stories, so it didn’t get boring. Food: After the visit to the Taj “Bobby” showed us a restaurant. The food was quite nice and relatively inexpensive. We paid 1500 INR for two people, including tip. After the trip “Bobby” showed us two artisan shops, one for marble work and one for pashmina fabric. They were quite interesting, we got to see how exactly they make the stuff by hand. We didn’t feel pressured to buy anything(although we did). We were very impressed by the handiwork and would wholeheartedly recommend the tour in general.

Shahid was a great driver, showed up on time and had fantastic English. Cozi Khan was a great tour guide, telling interesting stories at the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort, and taking beautiful pictures along the way. Both made me feel very comfortable while traveling alone, and didn’t pressure me to buy anything or stop in any shops. Thank you for the wonderful day exploring Agra!
