Follow a beautiful off-road cliff path along the sea and into the heights of Achlada away from traffic and in the midst of the most beautiful nature the area has to offer. Enjoy breathtaking views over Agia Pelagia until reaching Heraklion, then continue to the ancient and abruptly abandoned ghost village of Achlada.  Find out more about the background of the village and the traditional Cretan way of life and share a special personal moment with the last two remaining inhabitants of the village. Stroll through this otherwise inaccessible village at leisure. From the heights of Achlada, pass in between the mountains surrounded by breathtaking nature before continuing to Fodele, a traditional Cretan village, also called the village of the oranges and birthplace of the famous painter El Greco.  Explore Crete’s culture and marvel at its local handicrafts. Take some time for shopping and a visit to the museum or to the village’s orthodox churches. Meet your guide at the Peninsula Hotel and Spa in Agia Pelagia and start with driving tutorial session. Practice driving to ensure that you are confident with your quad bike. Cruise along lonely paths far away from main traffic that wind through scenic vistas.  Explore a cliff path that overlooks the sea and arrive at the traditional village of Achlada. Find out about the background of the village and hear about the ancient and traditional Cretan way of life. Share a special moment with the three last inhabitants of this village. Here is what to expect from our evening tour: Gather at the starting point at 17:40 pm for a short introduction to the quads following by a practical lesson in our private pits. Once familiar with the quad bike our fun begins and we are setting off heading to our first stop which is at the top of the mountain 'the ghost town'. The route is along the golden mountain trails which offers panoramic views of the sea coast and verdant mountains of Crete. It is a great opportunity to capture stunning photographs and create lasting memories whilst enjoying a smooth ride. The 'Ghost Town' is situated on top of the mountain very well hidden and secluded. Our experienced guides will take you to this traditional abandoned village to show you the most interesting parts and tell you a few facts about the place. There are many abandoned old cottages in this village and the setting brings to mind a horror movie. Be prepared for amazing pictures and a unique experience. Filled with fresh oxygen from the heights of Achlada 'Ghost Town' we are heading off road through an old donkey road descending 300 meters to the sea coast of Fodele. The selected route offers scenic views riding through olive groves and the natural beauty of Crete. As the tour progresses you will make your way to the sea coast where we can pause for a brief moment to take in the scenery and capture some pictures. Our next stop is at a charming traditional village renowned for its scenic beauty and the birthplace of the famous painter EL Greco. Once there, we are taking a 20 mins break to recharge and why not explore the streets of the village and the shops who offer local products such as fresh orange juice, honey, raki and handicrafts. Having explored Fodele and being rejuvenated, we are taking the road back to the base. The dark sky and quiet roads through the mountains create a serene atmosphere and tranquility which is a unique and enjoyable experience.

Visit the south of Crete and stop at the viewpoint above where you will be able to enjoy a breathtaking view and take some fantastic pictures. Enjoy a full-day excursion from Heraklion to Preveli Beach on a bus trip with a local guide. Discover South Crete's Grand River, Kourtaliotikos Gorge, and a colony of Theophrastus palm trees. Enjoy a walking tour of the island of Spinalonga during a full-day excursion from Elounda to the island. Visit Agios Nikolaos and Elounda and swim in the crystal-clear waters of Kolokytha, where you can enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch. Depart from Heraklion in a spacious, comfortable bus and be carried to the designated locations along the coast through the St. George Gorge to Elounda, a tranquil coastal resort. Board the bus to visit the bay and the beach of Kolokytha at around 10:30 a secluded haven that offers a respite from daily life. Swim and eat a delicious BBQ on board. Take the boat around 12:45 to Spinalonga, across Mirabello Bay.
