The adventure begins with pickup between 8:30 and 9am from your hotel in Marrakesh. Head south towards the vast Agafay Desert, admiring the changing landscape along the way as the city gives way to luscious greenery. Arrive at the large village of Imlil located at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, then pass through the incredible Kik Plateau. Next, embark on a 30-minute camel ride and soak up views of the surrounding landscapes. After your ride, enjoy a relaxing tea break and learn about local Berber culture, as well as their traditions, history, and way of life. Pass through several Berber villages on your way to the Amizmiz Valley, then arrive at Tinirt Village where you can have lunch at a traditional Berber house. After lunch, continue the tour to the Great Plain of Haouz, passing through the village of Ouled Mataa which was originally inhabited by Bedouin Arab tribes from the desert. The day ends with a tour of the Agafay Desert, where you can take incredible photos for your holiday album, and marvel at the rugged Moroccan landscape that surrounds you. After an unforgettable day, sit back and relax on the return journey to Marrakesh, arriving at your accommodation at around 6pm.

This half-day tour offers you a first-hand experience of life in the desert with a quad bike, dromedary (also known as the Somali camel) ride, and dinner in a bivouac. To the south of Marrakech lies the Agafay Desert, offering ease of access from the city. Your day will begin as your professional driver meets you at your accommodation or a meeting point. From there, enjoy the air-conditioned drive as you pass through natural areas around Marrakech, learning more about the area from your bilingual and professional driver. As you arrive you will be welcomed by your crew who will talk you through how to use an ATV. Once you're fully versed in using your machine, you'll begin by following your quad-bike guide who will take you to see some of the stunning landscapes around the desert of Agafay. On the way back you can get some rest and take some pictures accompanied by Moroccan tea, before you meet a local camel guide who will take you on your next adventure. You will have the opportunity to dress in the traditional clothing of the Nomads, before you depart on camel back to catch the beautiful sunset over the big rocky desert. The camel ride will take you to the top of a plateau, where you can enjoy a special moment taking some artistic photos with your camel in the fresh desert air. You'll then hop back on your camel to take the return road with your local guide. As you return, you will be met by some staff who will introduce you to Moroccan gastronomy. 7. Atlas and Agafay Day Tour with Sunset Camel Ride

Start your day with pickup in Marrakesh at 9:00 AM. Your first stop is the Atlas Mountains. Visit a traditional Berber market on the way and an Argan oil co-op. From Marakkesh, you’ll arrive at Imlil. From there, you'll head to the highest and largest village in Imlil Valley, Armed. Either choose to walk to Armed, or you go by camel. See the waterfalls, as well as the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa, and Imoula. To add some more glamor to your journey, your tour guide will stop at Tamatert, so that you can enjoy the amazing view of ancient irrigation fields that are surrounded by cherry and walnut trees. From Tamatert, pass through the Ait Souka village on the way to the next stop at Kik Plateau. At Ait Souka, you’ll meet a berber family, and you’ll be welcomed with a nice guest meal in their home.  Your journey will also take you from the Kik Plateau to the edge of Lalla Takerkoust Lake. Take a tea break and see the gigantic dam that supplies Marrakesh with all its energy. Quad biking or jet skiing can also be locally arranged if you enjoy adrenaline-pumping activities. The last stop before you return to Marakkesh is the Agafay Desert. Through the stone desert, oasis, barren light brown plateaus, high hills, and Bedouin villages, you'll enjoy the beautiful sunset as your journey wraps up.

Thank you Mohammad and Chawi for a great day! Mohammad was super fun and energetic, and showed us everything in his village. The camel ride was also great and he even gave us a small souvenir in the end :) definitely worth it if you want to see more of the countryside of Morocco.

We really enjoyed this excursion. For the price, we were able to do a lot. The guide assigned to us was very attentive and knowledgeable. We did a lot of picture spots as well.

Very good tour, great guides and very practical for a short visit stay to take a look at the rich culture of Morocco!
