Great Historical Tour, Diving show & Municipal Market Visit

The tour was exactly as I expected it to be. Santiago one of my guides was a wealth of information about this fortress built during the XVII century. Our visit to the Acapulco Market was fantastic as well; that was my favorite part of the tour. Roger our driver brought us later to visit the city market, We get to see the authentic Mexico in there, not to mention the Diving exhibition was fantastic... All in all a highly recommended activity.

San Diego Fort Municipal Market Visit and Cliff Divers Historical Tour

The Mercado Municipal was really an eye-opener, I had never been in a Mexican market before, and it was fascinating. There was so much to see— fresh produce and live roosters, gorgeous flowers. The one I enjoyed the best though was the witch doctor office with a lot of hard to describe products, which were a combination of herbal remedies and Santeria-type spells and prayers to saints. One of these stalls had a cage full of large live bugs, whose purpose I preferred not to ask about. The museum. One of my favorite places for absorbing Mexican history 'live and in person'. Among many other historic currents, it beautifully presents the history of the Nao de China or Manila Galleon, the ship that made a yearly trip between Acapulco and Manila, starting very early during the viceregal period. This site is SO worth a visit; I have honestly never seen anyone get bored here. Rogelio (Roger Dodger) was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and fun. I highly recommend this tour.
