The tour will make a first stop in Chilpancingo (capital of the state of Guerrero) for you to have breakfast (not included) and after a 3 hour ride, visit Taxco, a city with a unique architectural style. Walk down its cobblestone streets and see white stucco houses topped with red tiled roofs. Visit the baroque Santa Prisca Cathedral and enjoy some free time to get lunch and see the city at your leisure before returning to Acapulco. Enjoy the different vegetation along the way to this beautiful mining town. Taxco is a small colonial city located in the mountains of the North Sierra. Wrought iron balconies, a common adornment, are usually spilling over with beautiful flowers. Enjoy plenty of time for shopping at this Silver Capital of Mexico while you enjoy its fabulous weather. Taxco is a world known tourist destination and the friendly and hospitable character of its people has not changed. Taxco has been declared a national monument to be conserved to look like it did in the XVIII century. Visit the baroque Santa Prisca Cathedral and enjoy a delicious lunch in a nearby restaurant.

This was one of our favorite activities we did while in Acapulco! Our guides, Rudy and Alfonso, were full of interesting information about past and present Mexico. It made the travel times fly! They speak excellent English and have great senses of humor. We enjoyed learning about the silver mining and shopping. The church was stunning and the stories grand. I HIGHLY recommend this tour if you visit. You will travel in a comfortable, air conditioned van.

An Unforgettable Day...

My favorite tour of the 6 tours I took in town. I took a number of the tours in Acapulco, from the moment of booking everything was perfect, they were fast and very professional, they pick me up at my hotel, the guides Santiago and Roger were both very kind and their knowledge about the places we visited, their attitude of service is really good not to mention they both also speaks very good English. Taxco is a marvelous little town, its cobblestoned streets and cathedral are awesome. I will come back again next year. I cannot recommend enough. All in all fantastic!

One Day Trip To Taxco From Acapulco

Victor our guide was very knowledgeable about history of Taxco and of the areas we drove through. Shopping was fantastic and Taxco is extremely charming, it is the Mexico I came to look for... There were only 3 of us in the tour and he was very kind and personable. The scenery we saw along the ride was spectacular and Taxco itself was absolutely beautiful. I am plan already to return.
