The trip started in a wonderful medieval mountain top city. The guides on this portion were knowledgeable and funny. Only wish would be that we could stop in all the interesting shops along this route, but another reason to visit. The Abby was nice but a quick diversion to stretch the legs before the meal at the winery. The food was excellent and the wine was good. A quick explanation of the wines made sure that we took something away besides a good meal. The last stop of the renaissance city allowed us to walk around at our leisure for a little less than an hour. While the city had amazing views of the valley and picturesque scenes, there wasn't enough time to visit the two meusems and the shops were a bit overpriced from what we have seen around. The trip was enjoyable though as a great break from the city and seeing the country side of Tuscany.
I highly recommend this tour. We had a fantastic time and learned so much more than we expected about all of Tuscany ! Our only disappointment was not enough time in Montepulciano . There was much time in other areas and zero time for photos or possible wine purchase in Montepulciano which was the most beautiful and well known part of the tour. I would have hoped for a little more time there . If I were to have the opportunity to do it again I would look for a half day tour to the Montepulciano winery on its own . Absolutely stunning and deserves more attention and appreciation.
My friend and I, despite the rainy weather, had a wonderful experience in Tuscany. Beautiful rolling hills, lush trees, and enchanting sites, including the towns and church we visited. The tour feels a bit rushed, understandably because there is so much to do in the amount of time that we have. We loved our tour guide, Andy. Very informative and entertaining. Tasting the flavors and smelling the aromas of Tuscany was magnificent!
The tour guide was excellent and knew heaps about Brunello and the wine making process. She spoke good English and made the day extra special. The wineries that we visited and staff were lovely. Couldn't have seen these wineries and had this experience on my own. Would definately do another tour with this company. Thanks guys for an amazing experience of Siena and Montalcino.
Claudia our tour guide was amazing. She not only was informative and made sure everyone was where they needed to be. She was so personable and spoke from the heart. I could tour the world with her she was AMAZING and my mom and sister who were traveling with me felt the same way! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience.
