Full description
Join this very special evening tour to observe a colony of Woylies in their natural environment. A very rare, nocturnal little macropod with personality, woylies are small relatives of kangaroos. This tour is your only opportunity to view these amazing, but critically endangered creatures.  The tour begins with accommodation pickups half an hour before sunset, before a short drive to a nearby private conservation sanctuary that has allowed exclusive access for this tour. On arrival at the sanctuary, a short guided bush walk will take you to the animal viewing site. As the first of the woylies appear, you'll learn about some of their wonderful characteristics, and interesting facts about the area. Other Aussie wildlife may be seen during the tour including kangaroos, bandicoots and possums. At the end of your woylie encounter, you'll be returned to your pre-arranged drop-off location.  The tour takes place at a conservation sanctuary that has allowed access to their population of free-roaming woylies (brush-tailed bettong).  Part of the proceeds from this tour contribute to the valuable work of the conservation sanctuary.

Ryan and Mick were excellent guides from start to finish, very knowledgable on the flora and fauna of the area, and clearly love what they do. We didn't get to see any Woylies (on this occasion) but we did see western ringtail and brushtail possums, 'roos with joey in pouch and bandicoots. The billy tea and biscuits was a lovely touch, and the ability to interact with the 'roos was awesome. The photography shown in the bus on the way to the tour was amazing. The trip home had a very entertaining video to whileaway the minutes. The best of luck for the future guys, we will defo be back and hopefully get to see the title characters on the next adventure... and will most likely keep trying until we do :)

A quite captivating 2 hours in the bush ! Ryan and Mick were excellent guides , informative and super-friendly . We met 5 or 6 female grey kangaroos ( 2 with joeys still in the pouch) who were tame enough to be hand fed by us , plus bandicoots , possums ..... and 3 individual little woylies . Overall this was a delightful experience.

We were. the only people that night and we couldn't change. Mick and Ryan picked us up, were very interesting in their commentary and knew a lot about the animals we saw as well as the plants and environment. My British friend enjoyed the close encounter with such beautiful animals. We thoroughly recommend taking this tour.
