Full description
Explore the world’s largest Titanic experience in the historic shipyards in Belfast where the doomed ocean liner the Titanic was built. The adventure begins the moment you walk into the building's giant atrium, surrounded by 4 ship-hull-shaped wings. Journey through 9 large galleries of the state-of-the-art interactive exhibition to uncover the true story of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and subsequent place in history. Learn about turn-of-the-century Belfast as a thriving boom town, and take a thrilling tour through dramatic presentations of the shipyards and Titanic under construction. Watch her launch from the slipways, and explore the luxurious craftsmanship of the interiors. Go deep into the stories of the passengers, crew, and heroes of the day. Relive the drama of her tragic end, and see the wreck at her resting place on the ocean floor. Voyage to the bottom of the North Atlantic in the Ocean Exploration Centre, with live links to contemporary undersea explorations. If you'd like a souvenir to remind you of your trip, there's plenty to choose from in the Titanic Store. End with a visit to SS Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line vessel and the biggest Titanic artefact in the world. Famous as a tender for the Titanic, and a quarter of her size in every dimension, you can marvel at the original ornate doors, panels, plasterwork, and staircases that greeted first and second class passengers on board. The Titanic Experience itself was very good. My family and I really enjoyed learning about how the ship was made, interview clips from people who survived the tragedy and seeing the ruins of the ship in its current state. Two things I had a problem with hence one less star rating. 1. We weren’t asked for our Covid certs which would suggest that nobody else was asked either and means this indoor activity was higher risk. 2. There was no advertising of the closing time for the Nomadic SS ship visit. On my ticket I was told the experience was open from 10am to 5pm. Obviously you plan your trip around these times. We only discovered at 14:55 that the last entrance to the ship was at 15:00! Thankfully we just managed to get onto it, with a last minute rush! When I checked back this was advertised on the ticket you get on arrival but not on my original e-ticket. This early closing time should be clearly advertised on the initial ticket so families can plan their trip accordingly.

Excellent exhibition which took most of the day. It was touching without being too graphic. The only thing that I would change would be reducing the volume on some of the audiovisuals as there were several close to each other and sometimes it was hard to hear the one you were needing.

The employees dressing for the time period and playing their roles was fun and exciting. Employees were super helpful as well. I really enjoyed reading all the facts about the titanic from beginning to end. I was also amazed at some of the things that came from the actual titanic.
