Full description
Spend 3 days enjoying the wonders of the White Mountains on this self-guided camping and hiking experience. All hikes on this trip include custom digital maps that allow you to follow your progress on a mobile device. This self-guided adventure will make you feel comfortable and fully equipped with everything you'll need to get the most out of your trip in the White Mountains. Your trip begins with convenient pick up of your camping gear from a self-service locker kiosk in Plymouth, NH. With your gear in tow, you'll continue to Crawford Notch, where you'll find your provided campsite. Check-in at the campsite begins at 2:00 PM. Spend the first afternoon relaxing at your campsite.  When morning comes, it's time to decide which of the 4,000-foot peaks you would like to hike. There are a wide variety of options in terms of length and difficulty, so you can choose the perfect peak for you and your group. Some of the peaks on this itinerary include Garfield, Hale, North and South Twin as well as Zealand. They range in length from roughly 4 to 10 miles.  See how your legs are feeling when morning comes and decide on the final day's adventure. Choose between conquering another peak or a shorter hike. If you want to take it really easy, feel free to explore a swimming hole and spend the day relaxing and enjoying your surroundings.  After returning to your vehicle, follow your itinerary south towards Plymouth. Your camping gear will be returned to the same locker that you picked it up from at the start of the trip.
