Full description
Sail off the coast of southwest Tenerife on a 2-hour boat excursion looking for whales and dolphins. The boat departs from Puerto Colon, travelling 2 or 3 miles from the coast, where the pilot whales are often to be found. The beautiful sea mammals live permanently in the area, and are seen all year around. Sailing by catamaran, you will also pass by some fish-farms, where the clever dolphins are often looking for an easy meal. The crew are very knowledgeable about all the whales and Tenerife's other marine life. As you sail, you will also learn about the huge squids that can grow up to 40 feet (12 meters) in length, and live at depths of up to 2,600 feet (800 meters) between Tenerife and La Gomera. If you choose the 3-hour option the catamaran will stop in the bay of Playa Espagueti and you will be able to enjoy swimming and snorkeling off the boat.

Really nice day out, sandwiches and unlimited drinks alcoholic/non alcoholic. Saw lots of whales and they gave enough time for photos. Snorkelling was amazing too we saw loads of fish. Only downfall was the lack of a card machine for paying for the photos they take of you they only accept cash

The activity is very well organized, they know where to look for cetaceans and they are chasing groups for a long time so that you can see them but at a distance so as not to disturb them. Also, at the time the boat leaves and arrives, they give you a mixed sandwich and drink. Very good explanation of what you see in English and Spanish. The only "but" is that the 3-hour tour includes snorkeling and the glasses were worn without sanitizing in the times of Covid in which we are :(

At first, organizationally a little bit bustling when arriving, because at first you didn't know the exact contact person and several tours from different providers took place at the same time, but you were also helped on request. The tour itself was also very nice, we were able to observe the pilot whale family, they sometimes came really close to the boat so that you could take good photos. Sandwiches and drinks were served free of charge. Overall to be recommended :)
