Full description
Discover Isla Saona, a Caribbean oasis off the southern coast of the Dominican Republic. Find out how, originally named Adamanay by the Taino Indians, the island was renamed by Christopher Columbus, during his second voyage to the Americas in 1494.  Begin the tour by boarding a speedboat and jetting off to Saona Island. On the way, stop to swim in a waist-deep natural swimming pool with transparent waters. If you're lucky you'll see some starfish. When you arrive at Isla Saona, you'll have many activities to choose from. Wade in the turquoise waters, visit the open bar, take a nap on a beach lounge chair, walk along the coastline, or play volleyball. Indulge in a typical Dominican lunch of chicken, pork, rice, beans, salad, and fruit. You can even enjoy lobster and premium drinks when you book the VIP option. You get what you paid for . Have to be patient with transportation. It’s a lot of driving to get where you’re going . The professional photos are worth it . But nit the ladies who walk around the beach offering massages as good as they are they charge you 80 dollars for 30 Minutes and only massage your back

I was not aware that after hotel pickup you would be dropped on the side of the road to wait 10 minutes for another bus. Also I thought there was more time on the island but most of the time is spent on the sailboat going over. If you like to party, this is the trip for you as there is alot of drinking and dancing. It was fun but I’m not a big partier myself so if I would have had more details I may not have booked it. The island was pretty and the food (we ordered the vip lobster) was excellent. Our tour guide was also very good (Francesco)

Great trip !! Great Guide - Big Thanks to Benjamin from Caribean Route. The bus ride was great, the speedboat ride was a lot of fun. The short stop at the sandbanks was used for a great photo shoot - thx Max !! The island of Saona is very beautiful, real Caribbean feeling. Lunch was very tasty & the pina colada made from a whole pineapple was also delicious. Back with the catamaran - noisy party with lots of rum and cola and then back to the hotel by bus. An all-round successful excursion
