Full description
Meet your local foodie guide who will introduce you to authentic dishes and drinks in downtown Vallerta. This small-group tour will introduce you to the hidden gems that make the culinary scene in the city so unique. Go beyond the popular tourist spots and discover the local favorites, which you might not find on your own. Sample a range of tacos including steak tacos, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, tacos al pastor, and beef cheek tacos. Discover how Tequila, Mezcal, and Racillia are close cousins and by the end of the tour, understand the difference between the 3. Taste the difference between a standard cocktail and the creations made by Vallarta’s best Mixologists. Sample a range of flavors starting with a Mezcal Cocktail made with fresh lime, cucumber, and a signature ingredient. Then savor a Jalapeño Margarita made by hand with fresh all-natural ingredients. Finally, enjoy a Michelada, made with beer and fresh salsas. You won’t walk more than a few blocks without being offered a Tequila tasting. Great way to start your trip!!! book a walking food tour in the beginning of your trip to familiarize yourself with the area and where to yummy food is. Giovanni was very knowledgeable with the history of tequila and mezcal and also funny!! I didn’t think I would get full but you do!! A great variety of different tacos and mezcal (I found my new fav drink!) I would highly recommend booking a taco n mezcal tour!!!

My wife and I enjoyed this tour as our guide Luis was full of knowledge on Agave and told us some really good stories. We started our 7-stop tour at Joe’s Fish Shack rather than the old town gazebo since the communications app an email each referred to one or the other. The 12 in our group enjoyed eating and drinking together that we actually ran short on time by the last top at Mezcal Sal. We bought a bottle Tequila at the airport duty-free and look forward to making Palomas as it will bring back some fond memories of PV! Just need some clay mugs for our drinks.

Bernardo was an amazing tour guide! His knowledge and ability to explain every detail as we walked through the city was great! PS his birthday is February 14th so if you get him on that day wish him happy birthday for us! This tour was the best part about our Puerto Vallarta trip! If you are looking at this, you have to do this adventure. Worth every penny. The tacos were amazing and the tequilla was mixed up and good every time! The tacos we tried were: shrimp, carne Asada, Al pastor, fish, and fried cheese steak. So good.
