It’s an amazing place! Lots of things to see. We arrived around 12 noon and spent more than 4hours in the castle but I didn’t get enough. The staff are very helpful and friendly. At the arrival they gave us a map and some useful informations too. There is a carpark, a restaurant and also lots of places to have a snack or just simply sit down and enjoy the wonderful view.

The castle was very interesting, thoroughly enjoyed it. However, the area where we were to meet was nowhere near the castle, very confusing. We stayed on the shuttle bus from our ship and went in the gate with all the other passengers. The gate attendee looked at our tickets, wasn’t quite sure where we were supposed to have met but let us in anyway.

The castle is well worth a visit !!! It is generally advisable to take a shuttle transfer / bus to the castle. It is sometimes not allowed on foot, or even difficult to reach the castle. If on foot, then via the skyway walk, but please with very good shoes, fitness and enough time - it is relatively steep uphill. As a cruise tourist, you are not allowed to cross the port area on foot, here a free shuttle bus is provided to and from the city, to the castle. -A wonderful, uncomplicated, entertaining- informative day with an unbeatable view (in good weather) is certain!
