Full description

Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Montmorency Falls with this ticket to Parc de la Chute-Montmorency and a round trip cable car ride to the top of the falls. Take advantage of free parking at the cable car station in Beauport.

Begin your visit at the cable car station and take the opportunity to discover the new trails at the foot of the falls. After your walk, take the cable car ride up to the top. You will see dazzling views of the falls, park cove, and Île d’Orléans. Once at the top, learn more about the history of the park at the interpretation center located in the Manoir Montmorency. You will also find a souvenir shop there. Continue to the suspension bridge hanging directly over the falls and listen to the water roaring beneath your feet. There are also a number of trails where you can enjoy the fresh air, peace and quiet, and beauty of the park.  The large-format maps on the park will guide you in discovering the panoramic circuit. You can stop to observe the different viewpoints available, or have a picnic. For the more adventurous, opt to go down the panoramic staircase. Clinging to the side of the cliff, this impressive staircase has no less than 487 steps. You will have ample opportunity to take well-deserved breaks during your descent. At the bottom of the stairs, feel the full power of the falls as you get splashed by the water. In winter, the fine splashes projected by the waterfall eventually freeze and form beautiful shapes. These splashes also form the famous Sugarloaf which is a very impressive natural ice cream cone at the foot of the falls. Finally, walk along the new contemplative walkway.

Nice ride out to the falls. Get to see a little bit of the countryside on the way. The falls are higher than Niagara Falls but more square in shape . Zip line across the falls ruins many a picture. The cable car allows anyone in any condition to see them from the top. A full activity for all ages.

The cable car is definitely worth doing. Climbing the stairs to the top of the falls is a hike but worth it! Once to the top, you can walk over the bridge and enjoy the view from above. Continue on the trail and it will lead you back to the Manoir Restaurant and parking lot. We did not know that you can also drive to the top of the mountain to view the falls. This would be ideal for those who aren't able or don't want to do the stairs. Where sneakers because as you approach the stairs, the ground is muddy from the spray of the falls and the first set of stairs are slippery.

Beautiful spot for travelers of all ages. Lots of natural surroundings and a nice cafe where we enjoyed a light lunch on the deck. The cable car ride was fun and the staff very friendly. The falls are spectacular. I enjoyed watching the zip liners…too scary for me though.
