Full description
Begin your visit at the cable car station and take the opportunity to discover the new trails at the foot of the falls. After your walk, take the cable car ride up to the top. You will see dazzling views of the falls, park cove, and Île d’Orléans. Once at the top, learn more about the history of the park at the interpretation center located in the Manoir Montmorency. You will also find a souvenir shop there. Continue to the suspension bridge hanging directly over the falls and listen to the water roaring beneath your feet. There are also a number of trails where you can enjoy the fresh air, peace and quiet, and beauty of the park.  The large-format maps on the park will guide you in discovering the panoramic circuit. You can stop to observe the different viewpoints available, or have a picnic. For the more adventurous, opt to go down the panoramic staircase. Clinging to the side of the cliff, this impressive staircase has no less than 487 steps. You will have ample opportunity to take well-deserved breaks during your descent. At the bottom of the stairs, feel the full power of the falls as you get splashed by the water. In winter, the fine splashes projected by the waterfall eventually freeze and form beautiful shapes. These splashes also form the famous Sugarloaf which is a very impressive natural ice cream cone at the foot of the falls. Finally, walk along the new contemplative walkway.

You MUST have been there when visiting Quebec. It is not only the waterfall that is impressive, but the entire nature park "around it". Even at the star from the cable car, there is a beautiful view, a walk in the park and the stairs offer further options. You should allow enough time (2 hours) to stroll through the waterfall and through the park and to enjoy the changing view from the landing.

Unfortunately there was some construction happening and the access to the bottom was a very long way back up. Some of the staff did not seem to enjoy their jobs much. When asked for directions to enter cable car, the group reservation desk was very rude and just words were exchanged. The cable car operators said hello and were polite but could have smiled at least vs. looking bored and uninterested in life. Excuse the rating for transportation... we drove not on a tour...I could not change this. The activity was easy to find.

We loved the Falls.

Booking the cable car ride was easy. I showed my mobile voucher at the drive-in entrance and they gave us our wristbands. The voucher includes parking. We went at 9am and it was peaceful and we only saw a few people. When we took our return ride down at 11am the parking lot was full. Go early! It’s a much better experience.
