Simas was a great guide for the Hill of Crosses. He gave great insight into the history of the site and of Šiauliai itself. I would definitely recommend you to take this guided trip if you are unfamiliar with the area. It's a great way to gain knowledge of the place while also exploring the site by yourself, with easy transport between the city to the Hill of Crosses and back.

Simon was a great guide, he explained all about the crosses, and his English is fantastic. He was very accommodating and picked me up from the bus station at the agreed time. He also dropped me off in the town at the end, and showed me some things to do while I waited for the train. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
