The original elephant section of the park was proclaimed in 1931, when only eleven elephants remained in the area.  Nowadays, you can see a variety of antelope and zebra species, as well as the unique Addo flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo. The park is also the only one in the world to conserve the “Big 7” – the Big 5 as well as the southern right whale and great white shark off the Algoa Bay coast.  An excursion to the Addo Elephant park is a must when visiting this unique area.

What people are saying about Jeffreys Bay

Generally good. Sightings of big game limited (No fault of the guide). Expected to see more groups of elephants in particular, but generally single animals. Luck of the draw I suppose. Probably wrong time of year..I’m told winter is better

We really enjoyed the tour with them. John was a great guide, he knew a lot about the animals and we always safe. The Picnic was awsome. Unfortunately some roads in the park were closed. Thanks a lot John!
