The 1st story is the Royal Flying Doctor Service, affectionately known throughout Australia as the RFDS. The tour included not only the history of the RFDS, but also the bombing of Darwin in 1942. Hologram presentations and virtual reality experiences really brought the exhibitions to life and complemented the static displays. It was fun to actually sit in a plane formerly used by the RFDS and listen to recordings of real-life conversations between medical and flight staff as a patient was transported to hospital. I enjoyed my visit very much and thought it was great value for money.
