This was a brilliant way to cover quite a long distance of the city & take on board some of the historical information. I was a bit concerned that I would struggle with the Segway but it was really quite easy & only took a few minutes to learn. The guide was really nice, patient and chatted with us on the short stops we had. We saw amazing views, went into little side streets & saw parts of the city we wouldn’t have seen if we had wandered around by ourselves.
I’ll start with our guide Giannis who is a true gentleman and an expert in all he does; driving smoothly and with caution, tactfully introducing all on board to each other, is fluent in English and very informative. Perhaps the tour description needs to be updated - we did not visit a raki Distillery but were taken to an olive oil factory instead. And we never saw anyone working Kopaneli. Still I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Crete. Thanks.
It was great to be able to walk past the long queue (waiting in line to get tickets) and start our guided tour as soon entering. I love being able to look at the sights while getting the information. It also allowed us to avoid the more crowded spots and potentially go back to them later and then start the audio. The audio tour itself was well done: interesting and clear, some great stories.
The whole trip was a great experience. The transport from the pick up point, the information about the region & the hosting of our group was such a unique experience. Ioannes was an amazing host and provided really interesting information about the region, Crete and family life. To top it all off the food and wine was very tasty. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
