Leonardo, yes Leonardo, was knowledgable and friendly. The explanation for the construction of the dome and history of the Duomo were thorough. Views from the top are not to be missed. Leonardo provided excellent suggestions for other don't miss sites, particularly the Duomo museum which is right on the square near the Duomo, contains many of the original works from the structure including one of Michaelangelo's Pietas, and does a great job of explaining the history of the Duomo.
We were amazed to find a guide who lives around the corner from il Duomo, and gained her mayor in art from the art academy in Firenze. Additionally Raphaela was a wonderfully enthusiastic person who added a warm and engaged dimension to her huge knowledge of the city, its art and history. Not a single question was left unanswered.
the tour was excellent and our guide francesca was amazing! she was clear and detailed and even brought along her iPad to aid in her explanations. the pace was good especially when the were young children in tow. and it's stroller accessible too! highly recommended tour for families with children.
The small group turned into a private tour. Various cancellations due to the corona virus concerns. Alessandra was an amazing guide and well versed in English and Spanish. She was very knowledgeable and welcomed input or questions. Highly recommend. I don't recommend that easy!!!
This was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. Francesca was so knowledgeable, interesting, nice, and fun. She made the experience great with her insights, stories, and personality. It’s the perfect way to get a feel for Florence, especially if it’s your first time in the city.
