Be picked up at your accommodation in Tunis and head to Kairouan. Kairouan was established in 670 AD and flourished under the Aghlabid Dynasty. Visit the Great Mosque of Kairouan, the Aglabits Bassins, and Sidi Sahbi Mausoleum. Spend some time exploring the Kairouan Medina and enjoy a typical Kairouan lunch. After lunch, head to the small village of El Jem. Here you’ll have the opportunity to see the El Jem Amphitheater ruins. The Amphitheater is the largest colosseum in North Africa and could hold up to 35,000 people. Your next stop is Sousse. Here you’ll visit the Sousse Old Medina and the Port of El Kantaoui. Head back to Tunis and be dropped off at your accommodation in the city

Explore the history of Tunisia on this half-day tour to Carthage and Sidi Bou Said from Tunis. First you’ll visit Carthage, founded in 814 B.C. On day 1, following an early pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in Douz, meet your Bedouin cameleers and begin your camel trek. Enjoy riding the camel through the fascinating views of the golden dunes and the amazing landscape which will change as the day progresses. At midday, break for lunch. While the chef prepares a delicious meal, take the opportunity to take photos of the impressive desert. After lunch, continue your journey and ride the camel til sunset. Watch the amazing sight of the sun setting behind the golden dunes. Arrive at the desert camp, and sit down for a traditional Berber dinner with famous flatbread prepared on an open fire. Spend the night under the starry Saharan sky, drumming around the fire. In the early morning, enjoy the charming sunrise as you eat a Berber breakfast. Continue to ride the camel through the remarkable dunes and fantastic landscape, from there, your Tunisian desert adventure will wind to a close. Trek back to the initial meeting point, where your return transportation to Douz awaits.

Next, you’ll head to Sidi Bou, known for its blue and white streets. Here you’ll explore the alleyways of the area and see architecture that is typical of the area. Visit the Palace Nejma Ezzahra. Built at the beginning of the 20th Century, it was once the residence of Baron Rodolphe d'Erlanger. Travel to Dar Alaïa at the peak of the hill in Sidi Bou Saïd. Dar Alaïa is a tribute to Ezzedine Alai. In the afternoon you’ll visit the Bardo Museum. Famous for its collection of Roman mosaics, which is the largest and richest collection in the world. Travel to Tunis and explore Tunis Medina. See Zitouna Mosque, which is the second oldest Mosque in Africa. After you visit, you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation in Sousse.
