We were in Rovaniemi in the middle of the January and it was really cold at the time. It was down to -33 degrees. We were in doubt wether to book the tour or not. We decided to book and it was the best decision ever. Our guide Tiina was extremely friendly and felxible. Since the it was so cold that the snwomobiles didn’t start in the morning so we rode them in the afternoon and used a car in the morning to visit the reindeer and husky farms. The local farm guides were also friendly and gave us a lot of insights about the animals. Especially I liked the reindeer guide Arttu. For lunch we were offeres traditional lappish salmon soup which was delicious and really warmed us up in the cold day. We recommend to book the tour. There’s no cold weather, it’s all about the right clothing *wink wink*
Hosts were amazing people. Very informative and caring. There was a large group that went out -4 of us and around 28 in another group. The large group done nothing but complain and showed no respect to us who were enjoying it. The hosts were very patient with them. Even when the lights appeared and they didn’t want to see them as they were cold (they were wearing all the correct clothing but refused to move around). The hosts ensured that us 4 we looked after and made the entire evening a very memorable and enjoyable one The drinks and biscuits were lovely- I would love to be able to buy the hot drink in the uk. It’s was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful experience
Our guide was Louis and he was fantastic. We had loads of fun on this tour, first we were taken to the main offices to get decked out in snow boots, overalls and helmets, we then headed out to the Forrest and got to drive the snowmobiles, the road is very fun: lots of bumps and turns and then got to drive over a frozen body of water. You also gets biscuits and warm berry juice. Louis was super knowledgeable about Rovaniemi and incredibly friendly. Really recommend!
We had an incredible time with our guide Sandra. She was really nice and fun. We went in the snow for about 30-40 minutes and then we stopped at a lake to fish and eat. Luckily, we managed to catch perches, while Sandra was starting a fire to grill our sausages. After that we came back. The tour lasts about 4 hours and the experience is really magic + cheap compared to the others. I strongly recommend it !
We had an amazing trip, one could think that due to the lack of tourists they would provide less to save on costs but it actually felt like a VIP personal trip! They have put in the effort for just the 2 of us as they would for a large group. Couldn't recommend more.
