Danilo has tremendous knowledge, and a warm personality. He tells all about the calamity of 1945, explains Allied bombing strategy, points out targets, talks of the aftermath and death toll. I’m a Vonnegut lover and it was very moving for me to be in the cellar (now renovated, of course) where KV and other American POW’s survived the firestorm.
A fascinating day exploring the history and traditions of an amazing area. Pedro was a fantastic guide who went out of his way to ensure that the tour exceeded expectation. His personal touch was greatly appreciated. Can fully recommended this tour.
Hommel is a knowledgeable guide with a good understanding of the history and the imperatives of WWII and it's relevance to our current times. Must-do tour if you are a Vonnegut fan and have read the book or are a keen follower of war history.
Not your usual tourist tour. The guide combines historical knowledge with political insights. You learn to see Dresden in a different light. Lots of information on Kurt Vonnegut - of course - placing him in the time and location of 1945
We had a great time through out. Couldn’t find any option other than potato soup for vegetarians. If you can bring your eatables it would be more enjoyable.
