Jan our guide, picked us up in the morning perfect in time. we drove by car to our first stop for the Elbsandsteingebirge at the german side of the mountains. it was a short walk (500m) to the postcard view everybody knows. Nearly no tourist in the moning around, (Jan really made an ideal tour schedule for the whole day). The view was stunning and we had a lot of time for pictures. after this we drove by car to the czech side of the mountains to see the Prebisch-Door. For this we had a 2 km walk up to the side through the forrest (perfect air and very relaxed). Then we went back and we took a bus for a short ride to a restaurant for lunch. It was very delicious after the walking and hiking, a great stop to releax. Then we walked through the forrest for a boat-trip. The walk was stunning, because of the nature. The boat-ride was great and funny. And in the end we went by car back home. In total a great tour, well balanced by Jan (super friendly, informativ, great company)
We were the only English speakers in the group of 12 or so participants. Tour guides graciously did the tour in both German and English! Many thanks. They showed us so much of Dresden - so informative! Loved it! The cars are just as you would expect and just as much fun to drive! Be sure to check out the collection of cars they have inside the garage before you depart. Plenty of photo ops for participants. Be prepared to have your photo taken by tourists!
My tour was with Jana and she did an outstanding job. The scenery was amazing and the food was actually really good at the local restaurant. We even had beer at the top of the mountain after the climb to the natural bridge. The boat ride was just ok and the hike up to the natural bridge was pretty tough. So just be prepared if you are older or weak. If not, definitely sign up for this and get ready for a great day in nature. It is well worth the money!
We enjoyed our tour experience very much. My kids (9, 11 and 12 Years old) were entertained and the Guide knew how to package the information so the kids would stay interested and had fun. I was impressed with the logistics. We used public transportation and Silvia had organized all tickets ahead of time and knew all the various schedules and connections so we could be flexible throughout the tour and still get to see everything we wanted to see.
Jan, my tour guide was really good and communicates well. It was a great trip with him. There was more of hiking, so definitely comfortable shoes are required. Though it was a rainy day, the tour guide Jan had all required equipments and had a great visit to the National park. Lovely location and great lunch and drinks.
