Met in the foyer by staff in period costume who welcomed and introduced the evening (more seating would be helpful). The dinner portions were small but the food itself was very good, as was the wine! Something of a delay before a wine waiter arrived but we still managed to consume 3 bottles between 4 of us during dinner. We moved into the concert hall after dinner and the concert started on time. The musicians and singers, who were dressed in period costume, were all excellent as was the master of ceremonies. An extremely enjoyable experience.
Swen was great with our group. Our group were mostly blind/partially sighted but this didn't phase Swen, as it had done with other guides we have had in Berlin. His description of everything was clear, and the many various food stops along the way were wonderful. Some food tours flatter to deceive, but we were well and truly stuffed by the end and impressed all the way through. I would recommend this tour, and Swen, to any future groups.
Food was terrible. The worst meal I have ever had. There simply are no words to describe how bad it was. Room was so hot that you could not breathe. The dinner dragged along for two hours. Torture. Save your money. Just attend the concert which is absolutely amazing!
Rebecca was quite experienced guide. Young, enthousiast informative speaker. a very good representor for Berlin (althoug she is an Austrian girl from origine)
Good guide, very informative. Seen lots of places you wont get to alone. Food was good and enough.
