Planning Your Visit

  • When to go?

The best time to visit Bangkok is from November to January, known to the Thais as the "cool season." The weather is still hot and humid, but it's the only time of year you won't sweat in minimal clothing. Well, at least not as much!

  • How many days?

You'll need to spend at least 3 nights in Bangkok to make it worth your while, but you should go for a week if you can. It's worth staying even longer to see more of Thailand as a whole!

  • Where to stay?

Before booking your stay, consider what you want out of your visit. If it's a quick trip, then it might be worth staying in Rattanakosin, or "Old Bangkok," where most of the city's historic sights are located. Sukhumvit is lively and upmarket but still a hub of tourism, and the financial district of Silom becomes the city's party capital by night. For something a little quieter, book a hotel near Banglamphu.

Fantastic tour! Tar was an excellent guide and showed us loads of incredible things to eat, we saw street art, and visited a few temples and some galleries as well as she saw we were interested in those. Tar was really thoughtful as well, buying us cold towels to help us keep cool in the heat! One of our group had a gluten intolerance and she was able to accommodate. Would highly recommend booking this tour!

Even for people having been living in Bangkok for a while, this tour gives exciting new insights and brings you to new places in Chinatown. I learned interesting as well as funny and bizarre things, could try street food and got some restaurant tipps.

Easy to book. Very well run. Great value. A must do when on Bangkok.

Our tour guide and driver were very helpful and we really enjoyed.

Very nice and lots of room for adapting to our needs
