What people are saying about Capital Region of Iceland

This was much more eventful than whale watching I've done on the east coast of the US. We were fortunate to have several whale sightings some within a few hundred feet from the boat. Dress for colder temperatures and stronger wind than on land. Our captain pointed the boat straight at whales that we sighted so position yourself to have a good forward view vs. picking one side of the boat or the other. We saw humpbacks and minke whales. I was hoping to see orcas but I learned later than orcas do not frequent these waters because their prey do not live in this area. The Whales of Iceland exhibit was a nice add-on and a great way to visualize the true size of these animals. It's worth a visit and we were in/out in under an hour.

Great bundle to get you into the lagoon - personally think it's worth getting the premium option for the extra masks and bubbles at the Lava restaurant. However, the bus times are rather infrequent in the afternoon (on the way back home) - so if you miss one the next could be in 2h... 10/10 would go again though!

The sky lagoon was wonderful. Lovely warm water in the main infinity pool with a waterfall and swim up bar. The 7 step rival was great fun, even the cold bits. Would definitely recommend.

A relaxed swim , spa treatment in cool circumstances. Can kids go in? Is the question we saw kids in the pool but was told before hand no kids

Amazing experience. Definitely a place that’s worth a visit when you’re in Iceland. 2.5 hours of pure relax.
