Finally, head to San Mateo Atenco — where the community has become a very important commercial center thanks to its large production of footwear with roots linked to the Mexican Revolution. Day 1: You will begin with a walk on the side of the Nevado de Toluca volcano, where you will enter the beautiful pine woods that cover the slopes of the mountain. After walking along the beautiful footpaths, which allow you panoramic views of this incredible place, you will arrive at an amazing valley. From there you will follow the track to Corral de Piedra (Farmyard of Stone) where you will stay in front of the dam which provides this place with so much character.
