You will then head on to Santa Luzia, a picturesque fishing village on the lagoon which is famous for squid fishing. Afterwards you will cross the lagoon on a small train before reaching the secluded beach of Barril. This beach offers a unique experience. The drive continues on to the historical town of Tavira, where you will explore the old town by foot. Tavira is an old trading center and port situated on the Gilão River and the lagoon. Afterwards you will return to Lisbon.

We had booked a great day with a German-speaking tour guide and it was totally worth it! Ana, told very interesting about the visited cities and their history! So you were already well prepared before you could explore the cities on your own! At the visited places there was enough time to visit them, according to individual interests! Great organization! Jaão has an excellent knowledge of both the natural environment and the history of the region. This has been the most interesting and informative tour I have done on my current trip to Portugal. A very well paced and informative tour. I highly recommend it.

It was a super way to see all of the Algarve The buses were Superb very comfortable and air-conditioned The guide spoke four different languages so she was amazing! It was a long day we started in Lagos at 7:15 am and did not get home until 815 pm
